Austin Mount Bonnell

Mount Bonnell is the popular tourist destination known for scenic views of city of Austin, Lake Austin, and the surrounding hills. Located in Covert Park, Mount Bonnell is the highest point in Austin at 775 feet. Free parking is available on the hillside. Visitors can climb 102-step staircase to reach the top of Mount Bonnell. If you prefer not to climb steps, you can reach the peak via a gravel trail. There are multiple viewpoints at top with a pavilion and picnic tables.
