Little Rock Zoo is home to more than 500 animals representing 200+ species. The 33 acres zoo is the largest zoo in Arkansas. The zoo exhibits include Great Apes, Laura P. Nichols Penguin Pointe houses, Primates, Reptiles, Birds, Asian Elephants, Arkansas Heritage Farm, Small Carnivores, Bears, African Savannah, Africa exhibit, Big Cats, and Laura P. Nichols Cheetah Outpost. Other attractions of the zoo include carousel and train rides.
Arkansas Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo is home to about 200 alligators. The zoo also includes a petting area with emu, pygmy goats, sheep, and other animals. The zoo exhibits include four types of primates, mountain lions, monkeys, wild ducks, wolves, turkeys, peacocks and more. Visitors can also feed baby alligators. Other attractions of the zoo include live alligator feeding shows every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at noon May through mid-October.
