Texas State Aquarium is the largest aquarium of Texas that features species of Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. The aquarium exhibits feature wide variety of animals representing marine ecosystems. The exhibits include Blue Hole, Coral Reef, Jungle, Caribbean Sea, Dolphin Bay, Eagle Pass, Aquatic Nursery, Stingray Lagoon, Saving Sharks, Island of Steel, Tentacles, Swamp Tales, Living Shores, Flower Gardens, Otter Creek, and Tortuga Cay. Texas State Aquarium also offers educational programs for students of all ages.

Dallas World Aquarium

Located in downtown, Dallas World Aquarium is a popular aquarium and zoo. The upper level of the aquarium features Orinoco rainforest. The lower level of the aquarium houses aquarium featuring sea animals from around the world. There are tanks featuring aquatic life of Japan, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, British Columbia, the Bahamas, Fiji, Palau, Southern Australia, Lord Howe Island, and the Solomon Islands. It also includes a large 40 foot tunnel tank with view of fish swimming around.

Downtown Aquarium

Downtown Aquarium is an aquarium and restaurant located on a 6-acre site in the heart of downtown Houston. The aquarium is home to over 300 species of aquatic life from around the world. The restaurant includes floor to ceiling 150,000 gallon aquarium with spectacular views of reticulated rays, moray eels, giant groupers that weigh over 250 pounds, shovel-nosed guitarfish and a very rare napoleon wrasse from Australia. Aquarium restaurant offers a variety of seafood specialties and views of aquarium. The facility also includes a bar, ballroom, and shopping. Other attractions and fun rides include Shark Voyage, Diving Bell Ferris Wheel, Aquatic Carousel, Lighthouse Dive, Frog Hopper, and Aqua Wheel.

Moody Garden Aquarium is one the largest aquarium in Texas located in 12 stories high pyramid. It features over 10,000 marine animals in 15 million gallon aquarium. The interactive exhibits include live animals representing different regions of the sea: North Pacific, South Pacific, South Atlantic and Caribbean. The aquarium features tropical fish, sharks, seals, jellyfish, and penguins. Other attractions of the aquarium include penguin encounters and river otter encounters.

Austin Aquarium is home to over 8,000 living animals. The aquarium unique interactive exhibits features wide variety of animals from all over the globe. The exhibits include amphibians, lorikeets, parakeet aviary, sharks, stingrays and a variety of cold water and tropical fish. The aquarium rain forest has reptiles, lemurs, and coatimundis. Visitors can also feed stingrays, sharks, birds, and fish.

Sea Center Texas

Sea Center Texas located in Lake Jackson is a marine aquarium and education center managed and operated by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. The 75 acres facility features aquaria and exhibits of Texas marine life. The exhibits include Touch Tank, Salt Marsh Aquarium, Coastal Bay Aquarium, Jetty Aquarium, Artificial Reef Aquarium, and Offshore Gulf of Mexico Aquarium. There is no admission fee to visit and explore Sea Center Texas. Other attractions include fish hatchery, outdoor wetland exhibit, and fishing pond.
