New Haven Museum features 375 years of history from the establishment of the Colony to present. Collection of the museum includes furniture, paintings, photographs, manuscripts, books and ephemera. The museum permanent exhibits include four on-going exhibition galleried dedicated to New Haven history. Temporary exhibits display specially themed exhibitions. Both permanent and special exhibitions features collection of fine arts, decorative arts, maritime history, technology, and manufacturing. Permanent exhibitions include The New Haven Gallery, The Ingersoll Room, The Amistad Gallery, The Clement Room, and The Maritime Gallery.
