Silver Sands State Park located on Long Island Sound is popular for recreation along Atlantic ocean. The state park features over half mile of shoreline and three quarters of a mile boardwalk. The 297 acres park includes beach, dunes, salt marsh, woods, and bird sanctuary. Popular recreation activities are: trails, boardwalk, swimming, picnicking, bird watching and fishing.
