Telfair Museums is a popular art museum located in the historic district of Savannah. It was he first public art museum in the Southern United States. The museum collection includes over 4,500 American and European paintings, sculptures, and works on paper. The museum's collection is housed in three buildings and each features the era in which it was built. The Telfair Academy features two 19th century rooms, and it includes collection of 19th and 20th century American and European art. Other two buildings are Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters and Jepson Center.
