Fort Boonesborough State Park

Fort Boonesborough State Park preserves the original fort site of Daniel Boone and settlers. The settlement known as known as Fort Boonesborough is Kentucky's second oldest European-American settlement. Reconstructed as a working fort, Fort Boonesborough features cabins, blockhouses and furnishings. Today, the fort offers visitors a true sense of what life was like for pioneers in Kentucky. Things to do include hiking, boating, swimming, camping, fishing, picnicking, and bird watching.
