Lexington Waveland State Historic Site

Waveland State Historic Site is the site of Joseph Bryan estate that includes three original outbuildings - slave quarters, smokehouse and ice house. The 10 acres site was the home of the Joseph Bryan family and their descendants in the nineteenth century. Guided tour of Waveland historic site focus on lives of family and slaves who lived and worked at Waveland in the 1850s. The house museum exhibits focus on Kentucky life from pioneer days to the Civil War. Things to see include old mill house structure, foot bridges, natural spring, pond, and gardens.
