Located along the Patapsco River, Patapsco Valley State Park is known for its recreation area. 32 miles of the state park along the river offers many recreation opportunities. Park activities include hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing, and picnicking. The park is popular for its scenery and over 200 miles of trails. Park areas to visit include McKeldin Area, Daniels Area, Hollofield Area, Pickall Area, Hilton Area, and Avalon/Glen Artney/Orange Grove Flour Mill Area.
