Akron Zoo

The Akron Zoo located west of downtown is home to over 1,000 animals representing over 100 different species. The zoo animals include mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates. The Akron Zoo exhibits include Legends of the Wild, Mike & Mary Stark Grizzly Ridge, Lehner Family Zoo Gardens, Wild Prairie, Komodo Kingdom, Penguin Point, Curious Creatures, Pride of Africa, Wild Asia, and Aviary. Other attractions of the zoos are carousel, train, and children play area.
