Old Tunnel State Park

Old Tunnel State Park is known for abandoned railroad tunnel that is home to over 3 million Mexican free-tailed bats and 3,000 cave myotis bats. The bats emerge at sunset during the months of May through October. During those months, visitors can enjoy bat-viewing at night. Admission to park is free. Park activities include hiking and bird watching. The half-mile nature trail offers wildlife viewing. The park also hosts night educational presentations.
