San Antonio Botanical Garden

San Antonio Botanical Garden is a 38 acres living museum of native and imported plants. It is one of the best botanical garden in the U.S. with outstanding displays, botanical diversity, education, and environmental stewardship. The botanical garden collections includes native plants, conservatory, overlook tower and the Sullivan Carriage House. Featured attraction of the garden includes Lucile Halsell Conservator, Sullivan Carriage House, Mays Family Display Garden, Kumamoto En Japanese Garden, Family Adventure Garden, Auld House, and Daniel Sullivan Carriage House. Lucile Halsell Conservatory is a popular attraction of the garden with five glass structures greenhouses with tropical palms, rainforest ferns, desert cacti and rare orchids surrounding a courtyard.

Mays Family Display Garden

Mays Family Display Garden features native and adapted plants with hot and energetic color schemes that celebrate the heritage of San Antonio. The garden also includes a refreshing waterfall.


Kumamoto En Japanese Garden

Kumamoto En Japanese Garden is an authentic Japanese Garden designed by landscape artists and craftsmen from Japan that features more than 30 elements of a classic Japanese garden, including stone walks, unique water elements, granite lanterns and bamboo fences.


Family Adventure Garden

The 2.5-acre Family Adventure Garden is a perfect place for children and their families for resting, picnicking, and relax. Prickly Pear Pavilion offers space for birthday parties, playgroup meetups and other gatherings.


Lucile Halsell Conservatory

Lucile Halsell Conservatory is a 90,000 square foot complex featuring five futuristic glass structures housing tropical palms, rainforest ferns, desert cacti and rare orchids, which surround an inner courtyard, orangerie and pond. It features plants from the tropical rainforest and its canopy to the deserts of Mexico and South Africa, as well as tropical palms and ancient ferns.


Auld House

The 1880 house of the Alexander Kennedy Auld Family is located on the 11-acre Texas Native Trail.


Sullivan Carriage House

The Daniel Sullivan Carriage House was built in 1896 by architect Alfred Giles for banker Daniel J. Sullivan.
