Little Rock Central High School is known for its role in the Civil Rights Movement. The school was the site of the African American civil rights movement. Nine Black students, known as the Little Rock Nine, were denied entrance to the school in defiance of the 1954. The visitor center for the site is located across the street from the school. Daily guided tour, Streetscape Tours share the story of the Little Rock Nine, desegregation, education and the civil rights movement without access into Little Rock Central High School.
The William J. Clinton Presidential Center and Park includes the presidential library of Bill Clinton, Clinton Foundation's Little Rock office and the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service. The museum exhibits features replicas of the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room. Permanent exhibits includes documents, photographs, videos, and interactive stations, and galleries. The museum collection includes over 100,000 objects and works of art related to President Clinton's life and the presidency.
Little Rock Zoo is home to more than 500 animals representing 200+ species. The 33 acres zoo is the largest zoo in Arkansas. The zoo exhibits include Great Apes, Laura P. Nichols Penguin Pointe houses, Primates, Reptiles, Birds, Asian Elephants, Arkansas Heritage Farm, Small Carnivores, Bears, African Savannah, Africa exhibit, Big Cats, and Laura P. Nichols Cheetah Outpost. Other attractions of the zoo include carousel and train rides.
Museum of Discovery is a science museum and technology center located in downtown. Founded in 1927, it is the oldest Arkansas museum housed in a historic building in the River Market District. The museum include interactive hands-on exhibits with focus of STEM. Permanent Galleries of the museum include Discovery Hall, Amazing You, Earth Journeys, Tinkering Studio, and Room to Grow. Other attractions include Tesla Theater and Tornado Alley Theater.
Pinnacle Mountain State Park is located 15 miles west of Little Rock. The state park main attraction is Pinnacle Mountain surrounded by the Big and Little Maumelle rivers. The state park has over 15 miles of hiking trails. Park activities include hiking, camping, and mountain biking.

The Old State House Museum is the oldest standing state capitol building west of the Mississippi River. The former Arkansas State House was made a museum in 1947. Permanent exhibits of the historic building includes 1836 House of Representatives Chamber, First Families Exhibit, First Ladies of Arkansas Exhibit, On the Stump: Arkansas Political History, and Pillars of Power. The museum collection includes artifacts of Arkansas history.
