Aquarium of the Pacific features over 11,00 aquatic animals of over 500 different species. The 5-acre aquarium gallery includes Sothern California & Baja Gallery, Northern Pacific Gallery, and Tropical Pacific Gallery. The Southern California & Baja Gallery features three story Blue Cavern tank, Amber Forest exhibit, and Gulf of California exhibit. Northern Pacific Gallery features Sea Otter Habitat and Pacific octopus tank. Tropical Pacific Gallery features Tropical Reef Habitat. Aquarium outdoor exhibits include Shark Lagoon, Penguin Habitat, Seals, Sea Lions, and Lorikeet Forest.
The Queen Mary is a 1936 retired British passenger ship permanently docked at Long Beach. It is known for its unique art deco design and was used during World War II. Today, The Queen Mary serves as a tourist attraction featuring restaurants, museum and hotel. Queen Mary is also known for its Haunted Encounters Tour during the Halloween season.
Knott's Berry Farm is a popular theme park located in Buena Park. The 57 acre park offers fun for all ages. It is one of the most visited theme park in North America. The park features 4 themed areas and more than 40 rides including roller coasters, state shows, and family fun rides. The themed areas are: Old West Ghost Town, Camp Snoopy, Fiesta Village, and The Boardwalk. Knott's Soak City Waterpark is a 15-acre water adventure park located next to Knott's Berry Farm and is open mid May through early September.
Long Beach Museum of Art (LBMA) permanent collection features more than 3,200 works encompassing 300 years of American and European art. The collection includes photography, painting, sculpture, prints, drawing, works on paper, artist books, fiber, ceramics, enamels, glass, and more. The sculpture garden of the museum includes works spanning 70 years of the collection.
