California State Railroad Museum is dedicated to railroad history in California and the West. The 225,000 square-feet exhibits of museum features 21 beautifully restored railroad cars and locomotives. The 1870s-era Central Pacific Railroad passenger station and freight depot located next to museum building features historic and contemporary railroad equipment. Excursion Railroad ride operated by the museum between April and October offers 6 mile roundtrip along the Sacramento River.
