St. Louis The Gateway Arch

The Gateway Arch is a 630 foot world's tallest steel arch monument. Known as "The Gateway to the West", it is the centerpiece of Gateway Arch National Park and popular tourist attraction. Visitor center located below the arch features the Museum of Westward Expansion and two theaters displaying films about the arch. The museum galleries span from 1764 to 1965 with topics covering Colonial St. Louis, Jefferson's Vision, Manifest Destiny, The Riverfront Era, New Frontiers, and Building the Gateway Arch. Tran ride included with ticket lift you 630 feet up to the top of the monument. Observation area at top of the Arch features 16 windows per side with views up to 30 miles across the Mississippi River.
