Located in White River State Park, Indianapolis Zoo is home to more than 3,800 animals of more than 320 species and subspecies. The Zoo is organized around the concept of biomes: Deserts, Flights of Fancy, Forests, Oceans, and Plains. Each biome exhibits plants and animals that survive in that habitat. Indianapolis Zoo has large dolphin pavilion with dolphins view from underneath the surface of the water. Other attraction of the zoo includes Dolphin In-Water Adventure, Carousel, and White River Gardens.
Dolphin In-Water Adventure
The 90-minute Dolphin In-Water Adventure includes session about dolphin characteristics, adaptations and training plus 30 minutes of poolside and in-water time with trainers and dolphins.
Carousel
The Carousel features different hand-carved animals, such as seahorses, penguins, seals, elephants, rhinos, dolphins, lions, and many others.
White River Gardens
The 3.3-acre White River Gardens is part of the Zoo that includes 5,000 square-foot Hilbert Conservatory inside a glass building, as well as the outdoor DeHaan Tiergarten.
